THE CUTOFF TO PURCHASE FOOD TICKETS IS TODAY(APRIL 15TH) AT 12PM. There are also NON-FOOD Tickets for those who aren’t interested in the food option. The full amount of the $10 non-food ticket as well as the difference between the entree cost and the delivery ticket cost(on the delivery orders) will be donated to The Calgary Food Bank. The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis. We had 45 attendees register for the March event. We raised over $220 for “The Alex” through March non-food ticket sales. The Alex helps Calgary’s most vulnerable. The Presenter for the April Mixer will be Kathy Mendham, founder of Proactive Seniors, a unique and specialized advisory service whose focus is helping to ensure that our cherished seniors have all possible opportunities for a healthy, happy and safe life in their golden years. Kathy will share with us how being proactive, having early conversations, and being well-informed about services, programs, benefits and other supports can help families and seniors avoid health crises, reduce the chance of going to a hospital or long term care, maintain independence and support families in enjoying quality time together.
